Bedding and Yukatas for Children

At Ryuusenkaku, we would like children to share in the experience of a hot springs resort so we have prepared yukatas and futons especially for children. The yukatas for children have the same patterns as those for adults with choice of a Jimbei, a Japanese summertime pants and jacket set, or a yukata, a cotton kimono usually worn in summer. Both are available in various sizes for a choice that suits your child's fancy. We've prepared Ryuusenkaku products for children in an attempt to reduce the burden on parents, so that parents and children alike can enjoy family excursions with their children.

Children 6 years and over are subject to overnight stay charge and a futon is provided. Also, for children 5 years and younger, we will prepare a futon when needed for an additional charge. (1 set 3,000 yen)

Futons for Children

We have prepared a cotton futon in a junior size for use by children 6 years and older with the dimensions of 130 x 150cm for the cover and 80 x 150cm for the mattress. For those needing a futon for children 5 years or younger, please specify adult size or children's size. Both sizes are 3,000 yen per set. When no request is made, we will provide an adult size.

Bed-wetting Sheet

With sudden environmental changes, there are times when children will suffer from bed-wetting. In the case of bed-wetting, we are obliged to charge for the actual costs for having the futon cleaned. (feather-filled cover 4,500 yen; feather-filled mattress 3,000 yen; cover for children 2,800 yen; mattress for children 2,800 yen; ordinary mattress 3,200 yen) To guard against such additional charges, we have a sheet to protect against bed-wetting that is available at no charge. Should one be needed, please direct inquires to the front desk.

Children's Pillows

Children's pillows with cartoon characters are available for use, free of charge. Please inquire at the front desk.

Children's Yukata and 'Jimbei'

To make your children's onsen trip more enjoyable, we have children's yukata (a Japanese style robe or cotton kimono). For active children we recommend the 'jimbei' type (kimono style pajamas). Both types are available in blue or pink.

Baby Bed

We have baby beds located throughout various parts of the ryokan: in the changing areas in the indoor and outdoor hot springs baths, in the private family outdoor baths, in the Picture Book Corner, in the massage machine room, and in the karaoke room. They are always available for immediate use.
